SAC announces the launch of its new Youth Support Program, giving Albany's young Aboriginal people the support, culture, and community connections they need to thrive.
Funded by Telethon and Western Australia Police Force (WAPOL), the program offers 11-25 year-old participants culturally grounded holistic support, providing one-on-one case management, on-Country experiences, yarning circles, and practical support with school, work, training and personal wellbeing.
The program operates across two streams: Deadly Coolangarras, supporting young people aged 11 to 17, and a second stream for those aged 12 to 25. SAC’s Youth team works alongside participants and families to build personalised case plans focused on real goals, cultural connection, and a stronger future.
Young people can be referred to the program through schools, community services, or by WA Police. Self-referrals are also welcome.
Find out more on our Youth Support Program webpage, or feel free to reach out to our team on 08 9842 7751 or via reception@sacorp.com.au.
Thank you to Telethon and WAPOL for supporting this critical program the Great Southern region!
