Southern Aboriginal Corporation hosted the fourth annual SAC NAIDOC Ball over the weekend at Albany’s Entertainment Centre.
This year’s Ball was a powerful celebration of NAIDOC’s 50th anniversary and its theme The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy. Like with past NAIDOC Balls, this was a truly special evening where our community came together and celebrated the outstanding talent and spirit of our region.
We extend a heartfelt thank you to the 150 guests who joined us – from community members and Elders to partners, performers, and leaders. Your presence made the night truly special.
Our deepest gratitude to our generous sponsors, the National Indigenous Australians Agency, The City of Albany, Outcare, the NAB Foundation, Great Southern Development Commission, Headspace Albany, NAB, South Coast Insurance Brokers, and Regional Development Australia Great Southern WA.
A special thank you also to our MC, Laurence Riley, for guiding the evening with professionalism and heart, as well as the Minang Traditional Dance Group and Jonny Ford and his band for sharing culture and energy through powerful performances.
